On 22 February 2024 at 22:06, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Purmerend, on Aurigapark. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
