What happened?

On 22 October 2025 at 17:56, the Dutch Lifeguard Brigade (Reddingsbrigade) was alerted to a 112 emergency in Badhoevedorp, on Schipholweg. The brigade responds to incidents on beaches, along the coast and on inland waters. Volunteers handle rescues, missing-person searches and first aid, often working together with the KNRM, ambulance service and police.
