On 10 March 2026 at 00:01, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Bergschenhoek, on Bergweg-Zuid. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
