On 27 November 2024 at 22:37, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Bleiswijk, on Nieuwe Hoefweg. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
