On 5 January 2024 at 15:11, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Maassluis, on Dr. Albert Schweitzerdreef. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
