On 20 December 2023 at 10:10, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Utrecht, on De Bazelstraat. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
