On 16 June 2024 at 08:35, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Velsen-Zuid, on 's Gravenlust. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies.
