What happened?

On 7 April 2025 at 10:13, the KNRM (Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution) was alerted to a 112 emergency in Rotterdam, on Brandenburgbaan. The KNRM is the Dutch rescue service at sea and on the major inland waters. More than 1,300 volunteers stand by day and night to launch fast lifeboats for people in distress on the water.

Note: this is a test message. No real incident took place; the alert was used to check equipment or a procedure.
