What happened?

On 16 November 2025 at 14:38, the Dutch Lifeguard Brigade (Reddingsbrigade) was alerted to a 112 emergency in Beverwijk, on Kerkbollenveld. The brigade responds to incidents on beaches, along the coast and on inland waters. Volunteers handle rescues, missing-person searches and first aid, often working together with the KNRM, ambulance service and police.
