On 29 November 2024 at 22:56, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Kerkrade, on Roda J.c. Ring. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
