On 14 October 2025 at 17:37, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Bunschoten-Spakenburg, on Westdijk. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
