On 30 June 2024 at 05:07, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Ouderkerk Aan De Amstel, on Leerspiegel. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
