On 14 February 2025 at 08:56, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Berkel En Rodenrijs, on Het Hoge Land. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
