On 25 July 2024 at 21:35, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Spijkenisse, on J.a. Heijwegenlaan. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies.
