What happened?

On 30 July 2026 at 22:13, the KNRM (Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution) was alerted to a 112 emergency in 's-Gravenzande, on Slag Vlugtenburg. The KNRM is the Dutch rescue service at sea and on the major inland waters. More than 1,300 volunteers stand by day and night to launch fast lifeboats for people in distress on the water.
