On 16 August 2025 at 04:25, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Rotterdam, on Eendrachtsplein. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
