What happened?
On 13 July 2026 at 18:52, the Dutch Lifeguard Brigade (Reddingsbrigade) was alerted to a 112 emergency in Bergen Aan Zee. The brigade responds to incidents on beaches, along the coast and on inland waters. Volunteers handle rescues, missing-person searches and first aid, often working together with the KNRM, ambulance service and police.
