On 31 December 2023 at 20:21, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Leeuwarden, on Dokkumertrekweg. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies.
