On 27 September 2024 at 09:47, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Rotterdam, on Groeninx Van Zoelenlaan. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
