On 19 April 2024 at 15:47, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Spijkenisse, on Dr. J.m. Den Uyllaan. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
