On 1 July 2026 at 16:44, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Amstelveen, on Prof. J.h. Bavincklaan. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
