On 5 November 2025 at 08:48, the fire brigade responded to a 112 emergency call in Mijdrecht, on Doctor Schaepmanplantsoen. The fire service is not only called out for fires, but also for traffic accidents, technical rescues, hazardous-materials incidents and water emergencies. Their deployment is coordinated by the fire brigade dispatch centre.
